VOLLBRECHT'S DOME PROJECTION

The planetarium projects the 7,000 night sky stars that are visible to the unaided eye. It projects the Northern and Southern hemispheres and our galaxy the Milky Way. The images and positions of the Sun, the Moon and its phases as well as the planets Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn are seen.

PLANETARIUM'S GREATEST ATTRIBUTE

Our planetarium's greatest attribute is its ability to compress time so that in the course of minutes, it displays the changes in the night sky from sunset to sunrise at any time in the past, present, or future. Our “to scale” model of the Solar System is based on the 30 foot dome representing the size of the Sun.
